The principal investigator on this project, Mrinalini Watsa, is a graduate student at Washington University and her research involves studying saddle-back tamarins (Saguinus fuscicollis) in south-east Peru. Watsa and her team will work out of CICRA, a biological field station in the Peruvian Amazon. The project will to begin in late 2009, and is currently accepting support in the form of volunteers, research assistants, and charitable contributions.

If you are known to us, just register directly to the site. If you're interested in formally joining the team as an assistant, registering at this site is still easy but subject to approval. You will be asked for some information, including your motives for joining the project, skills, experience and background. Consider this to be your application to be research assistant. If you meet the requirements for research assistantship you will be provided with access to more details on the project, including costs, travel tips, research reading, etc.
