PrimatesPeru is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to the study and conservation of primates in southeast Perú. Our primary focus is on the ecology and biology of the Callitrichidae: saddleback tamarins (Saguinus fuscicollis weddelli), emperor tamarins (Saguinus imperator) and Goeldi's monkey (Callimico goeldii).
The project team works out of three field sites in the Madre de Dios Department of the Peruvian Amazon, near the borders with Bolivia and Brazil. We are accepting support in the form of research assistants and donations for research funding.
If the research goals of this project seem interesting to you, and you would like to assist the project, please explore the requirements to volunteer and registration options. If you still have questions, send an email to primatesperu(at)gmail.com.
