PrimatesPeru is a project that is unique in its interdisciplinary focus. Not only does it focus on primate biology, it looks at behavior, genetics, anthropology and even conservation science. The world around us is changing in many ways and here is our attempt at keeping abreast of the various areas of interest for this project.

Explore the stories, they are short and capture, we hope, the particular flavour of science as it interacts with society and culture in today's world.

The idea is to create an expansion of DNA databases to better screen for suspects at crime scenes. After all, they argue, about 8% of the population is responsible for about 70% of all crime and "if you haven't done anything wrong then you should have nothing to worry about!"
